Founded on a love for fashion the Far East and Travel, Chai is committed to making beautiful clothing in a conscientious fashion. We use many sustainable fabrics and strive to have a positive relationship with everyone who works to create our line.
Our designs are sewn in India and Thailand to support small family run production houses that provide ethical working conditions and fair wages to their employees. It is important to Chai to oversee all aspects of production to ensure the quality of clothing is never compromised along with the rights of all the tailors that make them.
Our goal is to continue offering modern unique styles for the everyday woman. With careful attention to quality, detail, beauty and versatility, our hope is that everyone who wears Chai feels comfortable, beautiful and rightfully unique.
Lindsay Jones – Founder of Chai Fashions
Lindsay Jones grew up in Nanaimo BC and moved to Victoria in 2001. She is a self taught designer, artist, entrepreneur and world traveler. She originally created a simple clothing line to help out a local Indian family business struggling to make ends meet. With their expertise in tailoring and her eye for fabrics and design, “Chai Fashions” was born. 10 years later the Indian family and Chai are thriving.
